Abstract

The aim of this research was to examine the factors affecting the job satisfaction of teachers working in Ayten Cagiran independent kindergarten in Muratpasa, Antalya. Thus, pre-school teachers’ opinions on the factors affecting job satisfaction related to the gender, age, seniority, salary, management style, co-workers and working conditions were understood and interpreted. A total of ten teachers, one male and nine female, working in an independent kindergarten participated in the research, and the research was qualitative research with a descriptive phenomenological design.  As a result, in the light of the answers from the teachers based on their opinions, while no significant result could be reached in affecting the job satisfaction related to the gender variable, it was understood that the variables such as age, length of service, salary, management style and environmental conditions affected the job satisfaction of the employees.
