In this article, the author autoethnographically describes, discusses, and reflects on the process of becoming a professional in tourism based on her social entrepreneurial journey. Through the eyes of a woman social entrepreneur, she evaluates the experiences she has gained in her personal journey involving sustainable tourism practices within a sustainable life philosophy. On this basis, she tries to reveal what challenges and opportunities she faces in meeting the criteria for sustainable tourism and what is considered sustainable by local people, operators, and public institutions. His experiences during his social entrepreneurial journey will inspire those who wish to undertake similar endeavors and help them to be ready for similar challenges they will face.
